For almost 25 years Kristine struggled with her weight. She was obese
throughout her childhood and young adult life. After college she moved to
265lbs. In her mid 20's her doctor told her she was morbidly obese and would
die young if she continued on the path she was on. In 2009 Kristine moved
back to Massachusetts and joined Bridgewater Fitness.

I never truly believed I could lose the weight. When I joined BFC I had just gotten laid off and I was afraid that I would
gain more and more weight. I thought the gym would keep me from getting bored and depressed but I still didn't truly
believe that I could change my body. That’s when I discovered group exercise classes, particularly Zumba. It was the
first exercise I ever enjoyed. I tried all the classes BFC had to offer and I started using weights to tone up as well. In a
little under two years I lost 105 pounds with a combination of diet and exercise. It was hard but it felt good to be in
control and to see my body change. I knew other women struggled with their weight and self esteem and I discovered
a passion for fitness I had no idea I had. I realized that nobody should feel the way I had felt the majority of my life. I
became a certified group exercise instructor, then a licensed Zumba instructor. I pursued my fitness education and
began personal training as well. I'm very honest about who I am. I am a food addict. I struggle with eating every day
of my life. Sometimes I lose a battle but I'm winning the war. I know what it's like to struggle with your weight and be
unhappy in your own skin. I love being able to help my clients achieve their goals and feel the success that I myself
never thought was possible."
